having to spend 10 minutes confirming that no, I don’t think the beige (because the store didn’t have white, or even eggsgell!) lamp shade you bought to replace a white one that was torn is unacceptable; yes, it’s great that it matches the lamp shade across the office; and yeah, I’ll definitely remember to notice that you changed the lamp shade in your office from a large one to a small one and tell you how brilliant that decision was.
